deadbolt-desert-locksmiths Installing a deadbolt is easy, and you should definitely consider getting one for your front door if you haven’t already!

Why Are Deadbolts the Most Secure Lock?

deadbolt is a type of lock with a steel bolt that extends into the door jamb and strike plate of a door frame. For the deadbolt to function properly, the bolt must extend fully into the hole on the door jamb.

Double bolts are always better than single bolts!  A single-cylinder deadbolt can be breached if an entry door has glass panels. A double-keyed deadbolt requires a key from the inside and outside to operate. Double deadbolts have a keyed cylinder on both sides of the door. These deadbolts require a key lock or unlock the door from both sides

Single Deadbolts are the most common. Single cylinder deadbolts require a key to unlock and lock the door from the outside. From the inside the door can be locked or unlocked by simply turning the thumb turn.

Electronic Deadbolts do not require a key to enter, but you can use one if you wish. Keyless deadbolt locks are programmable so you can create your own custom code for locking and unlocking the door. See our electronic access page. Not only can we replace your combination locks with an electronic keypad safe lock, but we’ll come to you.

If you are having issues controlling who can copy the keys to your home or business, you are vulnerable and at a higher risk for unwanted entry.
